I am a huge Nicole Edwards fan.
I have read many of her books and “Ethan” was actually one of the first MM books I’ve ever read. Needless to say, is that I loved that book and have been reading a lot of MM ever since. Now don’t get me wrong, I still read MF and Nicole Edwards is also one of my favorite MF and MMF authors. So yes…there was some fangirling going on when I received an ARC for this book!
First things first…This book can be read as a stand-alone…
…though I would very much recommend the 3 books in this series that came before this one. It would also help you understand the dynamics between the characters better. Also, one of the main MC’s is a hockey player from the “Austin Arrows” series. So far both books in that series are MF, but who knows what’s in store for the future…

Anyways, this time we get Roan’s story. Those of you who have read the previous book, know that something has been up with Roan for a while. None of his friends, however, seem to know what’s been going on, they only know that Roan has been taking care of his drug-addicted sister. If it’s up to Roan, he will keep it that way. Some things are better not shared and his sister is one of those things.
When he’s at a bar one night he meets Colton Seguine (Seg). At first, he’s not really interested in talking to the man, but he soon learns, that the presumably straight and famous hockey player is coming on to him….and when he offers a one night stand, with no strings attached…
…who could say no to that. Not Roan…
What happens next, has to be one of the hottest sex scenes, I have ever read. One thing is always certain, when reading a Nicole Edwards book and that is the fact, that it will be a HOT read !! Which it was…I actually found myself blushing…
“I want to feel you.” “Let me feel you Seg. Let me slide my cock deep into your ass and feel you”. …”Let me Seg. Let me be the first man to take your virgin ass.”
Hot damn..these two burned the sheets. Problem is, that this one night was supposed to be one night of harmless fun, but it turns out that it’s anything but…
After their night of fun, they both go their separate ways, but neither of them is able to forget about their night together and the connection they shared.
Many months later they come face to face once again and Seg isn’t ready to let go of what could be between the two of them. But being an “in the closet” hockey player doesn’t make things easy. Roan is dealing with his own problems at home. From one day to the next Roan’s life takes a turn and even though he really likes Seg and wants to be with the man…he has to get his priorities straight.
Will these two be able to choose for their own happiness…. I would say, read the book and find out !!
I really enjoyed reading this one and I am so sad, that with this book we’ve come to an end of this series. I just hope, that there will be much more MM books in the future.
