Spoiler Alert! The following blurb contains spoilers for Insight, book one of The Community.

Holden Payne has it all . . . or so he thinks. As heir to the founder of the Community—an organization that finds, protects, and manages psychics—he’s rich, powerful, and treated like royalty. But after a series of disappearances and murders rock the Community, he’s branded the fall guy for the scandal and saddled with a babysitter.
Sixtus Rossi is a broad-shouldered, tattooed lumbersexual with a man-bun and a steely gaze. He’s also an Invulnerable—supposedly impervious to both psychic abilities and Holden’s charms. It’s a claim Holden takes as a challenge. Especially if sleeping with Six may help him learn whether the Community had more to do with the disappearances than they claimed.
As Holden uncovers the truth, he also finds himself getting in deep with the man sent to watch him. His plan to seduce Six for information leads to a connection so intense that some of Six’s shields come crashing down. And with that comes a frightening realization: Holden has to either stand by the Community that has given him everything, or abandon his old life to protect the people he loves.

I loved it! Another Winner…An amazing read!

Oversight, book 2 in The Community Series, by Santino Hassell is darker than it’s predecessor, undoubtedly more complex and equally good. I dare to say, even better. And I truly love Insight, so that statement is coming from someone who is already in love with Nate and Trent and considers the couple hard to beat.

This story is the evolution of what we started in that liquor store in Texas.  In book one we were introduced to another world, a fantastic universe of psychics and powers and in this second installment, we are dragged in a more profound level. Deeper and direct to the human evilness.

This book is dark, sexy, sinfully funny, sarcastically realistic and full of lies, greed, fears, and secrets.

The tone in this story can only be described as obscure. You could say it is scarier and creepier than Insight. It’s also completely different in the perception, and that’s because of our narrator, Holden Payne is a cynical cocky bastard with a sarcastic humor that impregnates the story completely and makes the narration as sophisticated as he is.

Holden’s voice is pretty singular and clear. He is charismatic and charming and also a lonely man, insecure in the inside and, as we can witness, a little oblivious about what happens in The Community where he’s been raised.

I also love Sixtus Rossi, a.k.a Six… an invulnerable.

Yes, that’s Six’s gift, and not a subjective perception of this reader, since probably I would have described him as hot, honest, loyal, lost, sweet…(yes, I think the impenetrable is sweet)
In many occasions, Holden referred to him as a robot or a cyborg and that’s because my poor Sixtus has the rare talent of not feeling any kind of empathy. He also has the shield that Holden’s power needs: he can’t influence Six as he is used to doing. Holden can’t even read him. What a challenge, right? Right!

To me, the mere existence/appearance of Six is enthralling enough to keep me intrigued and captivated. It is true that I missed Nate’s visions in the first chapters but that´s because they were one of the things I loved the most in Insight but, really, having Six and his mysterious and appealing personality did it for me too. And also: Nate and Trent are in the house!!! Oh yes, they are.

I loved the paradox in this story: the relationship between an empath and an invulnerable man, not capable of feeling empathy.

The way they feel for each other. The love story between our MCs is beautiful. There is great love here, really. And it also has a hint of enemies to lovers very enjoyable where the chasing, the banter and the funny conversations between this two, apparently opposite characters conforms a big part of the Oversight big picture.

The complexity of the plot is bigger here that in Insight and not just because our narrator is completely different from Nate, but because it has a huge dose of “political” thriller. Santino takes the readers deep into the ins and outs of an organization full of lies, nastiness, and malice.

Here we faced a battle between good and evil…

…and we find out how far humans (evolved or not) can go to get what they want and how they can use other people to satisfy their own purposes.

I am hungry for book 3. I can´t wait. I know I have to because it won’t be out until October but I´m really anxious.

Highly recommend!imageedit_29_8155881553

A bounty hunter’s partners to lovers’ story.
The hunt is on… and he’s the prey.

Bradford (Ford) King was sure he had the rest of his life mapped out. Though he was no longer a SEAL Lieutenant, his brother was home safe and he had a job that still allowed him to satisfy his hunger for hunting bad guys. Life was simple, no distractions or complications – at age forty-six – that’s all Ford wanted. What he didn’t want was his work partner, sniper/watchman, Dana, giving him s**t all the time.
Dana Cadby had grown up labeled a roughneck from the wrong side of the tracks. He’d fought, scrounged, and survived despite a father that constantly told him he couldn’t. Dana pulled himself up by his own boot straps and made a name for himself in the marksman community. He’d been Duke’s bounty watchman for five years. It was his job to ensure their safety, watch their backs. At thirty-three, he was trusted, well respected by his peers, his bosses, his friends… so why couldn’t he earn the same respect from his partner?
Dana knew he was bisexual before he graduated high school. He also knew he was attracted to the huge, 6’3”, SEAL from the moment he and his brother came to join their team. It wasn’t easy for him to tamp down his immediate reaction to Ford’s thick muscles, full beard, and dark eyes. Still, Dana exhibited nothing but professionalism towards him, not wanting to make his ‘straight’ partner uncomfortable.
After Dana took back his ex-girlfriend, he’d noticed an intensification in Ford’s bad attitude. One that turned aggressive and downright antagonistic, and Dana was damned if he’d just lay down and take it. He was gonna make that man respect him if it was the last thing he did.
When Duke sends Dana and Ford out to track down their most dangerous bounty yet, they both embrace the fact that they make one hell of a team… but they fight tooth and nail against the powerful intimacy brewing between them.
Beware: When Ford and Dana connect, no fugitive can hide from the hunter and his watchman.

This story is a part of a series but can stand alone. It does not end on a cliffhanger and has a HEA.

I am a huge A.E. Via fan, so everytime a new book comes out, it makes me giddy. 😀

200.gif (360×200)

This time we get Dana and Ford’s story.

Those of you, who have read the previous books, know who they are already. Those of you who haven’t…

What are you waiting for??!!

jennifer love hewitt i know what you did last summer i give up julie james what are you waiting for GIF

Bradford King (46), known as Ford, and Dana Cadby (33) both work as bounty hunters for Duke and Quick’s team.Ford is a former Navy Seal, who was dishonorably discharged after rescuing his brother Brian from terrorists. He and his brother joined Duke’s team not too long ago.Dana is the team’s sniper/watchman. Dana is an expert marksman who has won several awards. He has been with the team a bit longer.

Ever since Ford joined the team, Dana has had his eye on the huge rugged man.

Dana has always been bi-sexual, but since he burned himself with the last man he was with…he is a bit cautious. So he has only been with women in the last 10 years. Dana doesn’t think he stands a chance with Ford and besides that…he doesn’t even know if the man swings his way.

So he sticks with his awful girlfriend…I really hated that woman!!! I got so annoyed with Dana for not standing up for himself and just letting her walk all over him.

images (200×200)

What Dana doesn’t know though, is that Ford is just as intrigued by him. He can’t stand seeing the way Dana’s girlfriend treats him (makes two of us). He doesn’t understand why Dana went back to her in the first place…

Dana deserves so much more… He deserves Ford…

tumblr_m2hdypifmp1qzhvg4o1_r1_500.gif (500×213)

Ford doesn’t have a lot of experience with men. I don’t even think he has a lot of experience with women either. He used to have hook-ups when he was younger, but that stuff got old and he is fine with being by himself….or so he thinks. He just can’t seem to get Dana out of his head and working so up close with the man is slowly driving him insane. Something will have to give…The sexual tension in this book was through the roof and…

I was just yelling at them to get their heads straight and kiss already!!! 😀

anigif_enhanced-5196-1429913803-16.gif (500×281)

Which thankfully they finally did. 😛

Once these two got their heads out of their asses, they were very sweet and hot together.

17927689.gif (500×242)

I do have to say that to me, this book seems lower on the steamy side than all the others.

I didn’t mind though…I loved how they took things slow and how sweet they were to one another. What I really loved was the extra parts we got in Brian’s voice. Now, this is a story I can’t wait for. Brian has been my favorite since he was introduced into this series and…

I hope we won’t have to wait too long for his and Sway’s story.imageedit_78_3543283961

A Kind Of Story

Isaac Dalton is the guitarist for Spiral, arguably the biggest rock band in the world. The band’s meteoric rise to superstardom has its perks, but fame and fortune aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Nonstop touring and performing exhaust Isaac, and when an overzealous fan makes it imperative that he travel with a clingy bodyguard, he is ready for a break from the madness. More so when his newly single first crush shows up on his doorstep. Adam is strictly off-limits. He’s a memory from a place Isaac would rather leave behind. And he’s straight.

Fun-loving former athlete slash construction worker Adam McBride desperately needs a new beginning. And New York City is the perfect place to start over and think about how to rebuild his life. A short stint as roommates with his brother’s best friend from high school seems like a mutually beneficial arrangement. However, when friendship gives way to fierce attraction, both men find themselves in uncharted and possibly dangerous territory. Isaac has to decide if he’s willing to take the ultimate risk for a kind of love and a kind of home he never dreamed possible.

I really enjoyed this “friends to lovers” story. Also…it has a rockstar…big plus for me. 😛

giphy.gif (408×230)

This book can be read as a stand alone. Even though books 1 and 3 are about the other members of the band, they can all be read as single stories. I myself have read all of them, and I especially liked the books about the band…Rockstar fan right here. 😛

Isaac is the guitarist for the famous band “Spiral”.

He really loves being in the band, but lately, it hasn’t been as much fun as it used to be. He is exhausted from all the tours and a bit concerned because some crazed creepy fan keeps sending him creepy messages.

movie movies film movie quote misery GIF

All he wants to do when he gets home from his latest tour is sleep in his own bed and enjoy some private time. So imagine his surprise, when his housesitter/guest, who was only supposed to stay a week, is still in his apartment weeks later, when he gets home.

Adam is the brother of the guy Isaac was best friends with in high school.

He is also Isaacs biggest teenage crush. He still very much likes the man and Adam’s looks only got better over time, but Isaac has managed to keep his lusty feelings in check…well mostly…because Adam is straight after all.

tumblr_n9exu8LlXC1tq4of6o1_500.gif (500×271)

Adam has recently gotten divorced after staying in a marriage that hadn’t been working for years. He is loyal to a fault, but he was also relieved when his ex-wife threw in the towel. Their marriage wasn’t the only thing that ended though…so did his job. Staying with Isaac for the time being to get his life back in order seems like a very good plan.

But Adam hasn’t  been completely honest about himself, and things are about to get complicated (and hot) when the two of them figure out their mutual attraction for one another.

tumblr_m6wdlt1lfS1ry5y8vo1_250.gif (250×150)

I really liked both MC’s a lot. I liked Adam a bit more though.

Even though the whole book is in Isaac’s pov, it was very clear to me what Adam was thinking and feeling. I liked the fact, that his failed marriage thought him how important is to communicate…and he did, he really did. Isaac was a bit more stubborn and it took him a bit longer to completely open up, even to his bandmates.

At the end, he still pulled a stunt that made me want to throttle him, but I did understand where he was coming from, and he had the best intentions at heart…

i-get-it.gif (720×540)

These guys were also very hot together…

crop output image

I especially liked the scene where Adam bottoms for the first time. 😛

“He rode my fingers like a pro while my dick drooled precum against the back of his thigh.”

I really enjoyed this one and it’s definitely one of my favorites in the series. I have no idea if there will be more, but I hope so. 😀imageedit_44_8150275859

A perfectly clear image has been on my mind since I started reading this story.

Probably the first image you will find if you google “NY piers”. Beautiful (of course, it’s New York) but nothing special unless you are being transported to that place while reading the first chapter of Insight. In that moment Santino got me. I loved the idea. I really liked that first vision and how it dragged me into this new world.

All my reading has been conditioned by Theo’s “first appearance”. And even if Theo wasn’t the best person, neither the best brother, I’ve been mourning him all the way. He’s been present in my head every single page. But the main reason that made me loved Insight was the magistral mix of nostalgia, darkness and the obscure sadness covering all the story.

The world building in this first installment of The Community is captivating and fast paced. The universe Santino describes is totally absorbent and original.

Everything has a dark atmosphere that you can almost breathe. But that darkish background, mixed with the simple and direct to the point dialogues, makes the setting and the story itself easy, intense and more attractive. And I loved it because this book succeeded where others didn’t. This novel transported me to a place, to a different world. That’s the magic of books, and this one did that for me. During all my reading I was visualizing the story as a movie and not any random movie, but one I would truly enjoy.

Nathaniel Black is our narrator, in this new Series by Santino Hassell.

Lucky Blue Smith:

He is a psychic who read paranormal M/M romance. He is an empath who listens Japanese rock metal. He is a social unskilled guy who has been bullied all his life. Bullied for being gay, and bullied for being a “Black”.That’s Nate, ladies and gentleman, my lovely and adored Nate.

So, this beautiful character who lives in Santino’s personal Village of the Damned  (bleached people included) meets a New Yorker called Trent.

Sarcastic, beautiful and apparently supernormal Trent….

The couple starts a journey that takes them from Texas to New York (the word “journey” is used here in both ways, literally and metaphorically). We don’t get to know Trent’s POV in this story, but I didn’t miss it too much because you get to know him through Nate’s eyes.

In this setting Santino’s use of the dialogues is vital. They are the “lung” insufflating air in this story. They are the axis since we all are Nate and we need to know trough him (thoughts and conversations) who the rest is, what they want… At first, I thought some of the interactions were a bit forced but everything flows naturally once I accustomed to the rhythm and the writing.

I wouldn’t say theirs in insta-love because it’s not (there is no love implied at first) but they do connect instantly, they bond since the beginning. Trent trusts in Nate’s word, he believes in him.  He is Noah’s partner in crime or, in this case, I should say, his partner solving the crime (he calls himself “the amusing sidekick“). And they are super cute together.
But I must say that even if there are love and hot sex in this book, the love story between Noah and Trent is not the epicenter of this book. Insight is the set up for The Community, the scenario for the whole series so I could say that this first installment has in it a huge dose of paranormal mystery with, of course, the basis of a good MM romance. And it didn’t disappoint me at all.

I’m really hoping book two will follow the footsteps of this one.

I’m not giving away anything substantial about the plot.

I’ve preferred to discover this book by myself and I’m giving you the same opportunity. I’ll just say I was absorbed by the simple (and also magical) narrative. I was completely into it at the end of chapter one (I loved the end of chapter one).

The characters in Insight are perfectly defined even if they have no voice. Noah is the deepest character, sure, but the book is full of great and intriguing characters. The lack of other POVs it’s probably a need in the story because this way is easier for the plot to thrive and for the thriller to prosper.

The only snag that I found is that, at one point, I was ahead in the “investigation”. I was solving the puzzle before Nate, and yelling at him to fit the clues in the big picture… but anyway, I love him and I´m sure he has forgiven me already for all the presumptuous “I knew it“.

In the last three weeks I have read, 3 completely different genres by Santino Hassel: Sports Romance, Cyberlove, and now this Paranormal/Thriller novel.

I can say without any doubt that he knows how to write whatever he wants, that’s for sure and I will happily wait for any book he throws in my way. 😀imageedit_36_4496991228

SSA Rain Christiansen used to be the agency’s golden boy. It just takes one moment of weakness, one slight, tiny, itty-bitty paranormal sighting, and all of a sudden he’s the agency’s embarrassment. His boss gives him one last chance to redeem himself—go down to Brickell Bay, play nice with the local police, and leave the ghost sightings behind. Rain is determined to do exactly that, even if it kills him.
Cold-case detective Daniel McKenna’s latest investigation is going nowhere fast. Five years earlier, high school student Amy Greene went missing after leaving her part-time job and was never seen again. Daniel is glad to finally have the FBI help that his department requested, even if it does come in the form of his ex.

It doesn’t help that Rain is pretty sure he’s falling in love with Danny all over again—if he ever stopped. Add to that the frustration of seeing ghosts at every turn while he works a case that’s stalled in its tracks, and Rain is starting to wonder if second chances and happy endings are just for fairy tales.

I love paranormal and I love mystery. So this book was perfect for me.

It pulled me in right from the very first page. I really liked the mystery part, it had me on the edge of my seat while biting my nails…

17734331.gif (300×226)

To me, this was a mystery/paranormal first and a romance second. Now no worries, there is romance and there is even some very nice steam, but the main focus of the book is…ghosts. 😛

Rain is an FBI profiler with the BAU. He is a pretty straight-laced kinda guy, which is quite the feat if you look at his hippy parents and twin sister. There are only two things not so straight about him.

His sexuality and the fact that he sees and talks to ghosts.

6356555205781965911827512256_ghost.gif (245×172)

He himself isn’t so happy about the whole ghost thing. It’s hindering his job and when his gift becomes public knowledge, he is sent on leave for a month, with mandatory visits to a psychiatrist.

tumblr_ni83o5D5us1u0mxhao1_500.gif (490×276)

When he gets back from his leave, he is send to help out the local PD on a cold case in his hometown…as a form of punishment. A town where his sexy ex-boyfriend is a detective and Rain has never really gotten over his ex.

An ex he will now have to work with and who doesn’t know his secret.

I really liked detective Danny McKenna and I also understood that he still felt the hurt of Rain leaving him. He never got over Rain either, but he is also afraid of being left behind again.

Even though these two are ex’s, they are also still friends. Awkward friends who would like to jump each other’s bones…but friends none the less. So when Danny offers Rain a place to stay, he doesn’t have to think about it.

It’s either his hot ex or his hippy sister. 😛

spncastieldontaskstupidquestions_zps215f6cd3.gif (245×180)

While working the cold case, Rain is being joined by his “stalker” ghost, who tries to help him out in exchange for Rain doing him a favor. Slowly Rain starts accepting the fact that he is not crazy and that there is a reason for him being able to see all these ghosts.

He actually starts wanting to help them….

help-me-help-you_zpsl5asrqvb.gif (800×460)

Problem is, what will happen when everyone, including Danny, finds out his secret…

I really loved this one. I was filled with mystery and ghosts.

The MC’s were great and funny. I loved the banter between the two of them and even though there are only a few steamy scenes, they were definitely HOT !!!

Boys Kissing Boys:

I would have liked an epilogue though…. It always gives me a bit more closure, but don’t worry they it ends with a HEA. I would love for this to turn out into a series, cause I would read every single book.

Highly recommended for those who love paranormal and mystery/suspense!!!

4.5-star-rating1.jpg (1116×300):

When I read the blurb of this book, I was mildly intrigued. When I actually read the book I was stunned.

It was so much better than I expected, although I should have known because my friend Susan loved it. Susan…you were absolutely right. 😉

tumblr_mum757G5wq1rkiuhro1_500.gif (500×271)

This book was sweet, funny, sexy and really interesting.

Wylie has been dealing with his “demon arms” ever since he experienced a traumatic event when he was 8. He knows he is some sort of shifter but he has no clue what he really is.Being shipped from foster home to foster home,  he hasn’t had any contact with other shifters and he sure as hell isn’t gonna goes look one up and ask questions.

When Wylie is caught up in the middle of burglary and shit goes extremely wrong, he finally learns what kind of shifter he really is…

He is a Dragon!!!

tumblr_myl5zvm8Ve1rvndbao9_500.gif (440×190)

After being caught by the police, he is sent to an Academy for shifters, sorcerers and other creatures for 5 years. The Academy exists to help its students deal with their powers in the right way. This is where Wylie meets Dorian…

The most powerful and dangerous sorcerer of the Academy.

Mickey-Sorcerer-Apprentice-88087.gif (480×329)

One look at Dorian and his dragon decide that Dorian is his.

There is one small issue though…Dorian isn’t always in control of his very powerful magic. Being touched often leads to him sending off sparks and in the past even incinerating someone.

hand-holding-fire-flames-animated-gif-image.gif (500×281)

These two try to stay away from each other, because of the danger involved, but it’s really no use because the attraction between them is too strong.

I didn’t expect this book to be as steamy as it was. Wylie was quite the dirty talker and he even had some exhibitionism in him…it was yummy. 😀

“You’re so fucking hot like this, beautiful. So sexy. So desperate for more. Anyone seeing you right now would know you were meant to be fucked.”

tumblr_munynzOIUh1sunxd5o1_500.gif (500×488)

Very pleasantly surprised by this one. This book ends with a HFN and the author states at the end of the book that there will be more soon about Wylie, Dorian and all the other awesome characters that live at the academy.

I am definitely reading the second book!!

The rules of the game don’t apply off the field in this first Barons novel.

New York Barons tight end Gavin Brawley is suspended from the team and on house arrest after a video of him brawling goes viral. Gavin already has a reputation as a jerk with a temper on and off the field—which doesn’t help him once he finds himself on the wrong side of the law. And while he’s been successful professionally, he’s never been lucky when it comes to love.

Noah Monroe is a recent college grad looking for a job—any job—to pay off his mounting student debt. Working as Gavin’s personal assistant/babysitter seems like easy money. But Noah isn’t prepared for the electrifying tension between him and the football player. He’s not sure if he’d rather argue with Gavin or tackle him to the floor. But both men know the score, and neither is sure what will happen once Gavin’s timeout is over…

I am a sucker for geeks, jocks and sports themed books, so I just knew this one was gonna be a big hit for me…

And since I am always right…

tumblr_mnd6qy7oLR1rc2i08o1_500.gif (500×210)

I loved the story, the MC’s and the side-characters!!

Gavin Brawley is a famous football player…a tight end to be precise.

He is also snarky, growly and has some anger management issues. These issues are actually the reason for him being on house arrest with an ankle bracelet, for the next 6 months.

Since Gavin is not real good at taking care of himself and not able to go anywhere, he is forced to hire a PA…

He ends up hiring Noah…

hot men - Album on Imgur:

Noah is a bit of a geek, he has lost his previous job, because his boss was an asshole and he is drowning in debt. He needs a job stat!

These two really don’t get off on the right foot. Now Noah might not like the arrogant football player,  but money is money and he is seriously lacking…

So he can suck it up for the next 6 months…he hopes.

tumblr_lzctt8R7gE1qdg9v3o9_400.gif (277×163)

Being cooped up together in Gavin’s big mansion, these two slowly get to know each other and they realize, that first impression isn’t always right. They actually end up being friends…

Now Gavin has known Noah is gay from the beginning and he has even flirted with him, but Noah didn’t take any of it seriously. He should have though, because Gavin is not as straight as Noah thought he was, and when the truth comes out…all bets are off!!

These two really had it going on. 😛

“You’d let me come in you ?” “Use you until I fill you up?”

mf gif - Album on Imgur

I loved that this book didn’t have any insta-love. You could really see the two of them growing closer.

I also loved the last chapters. There isn’t a huge HEA, more like an HFN and a very realistic one. I loved it and I loved how these two surprised me near the ending…especially Gavin.

I can’t wait for the next book to get here. Highly recommended!!!

I am still delighted. I just finished Illegal Contact and the magnificence of what I have read and the way I felt reading it is unbelievable.

I know this story won’t work the same for everyone. I mean, I´m using the word “delighted” here… and I know reading is a very subjective thing. Each one of us has different tastes and, fortunately, a lot of books to choose. But, for this reader, Illegal Contact was an amazing story so elaborate and so simple at the same time that I was completely in tune with characters, the plot and the writing.

The highest rate for this brilliantly written super slow romance.

This is not the typical geek-meets- jock book. It’s not your usual enemies-to-lovers story. It is both but none at the same time and is Santino Hassell who makes the difference.

I am not particularly a sports books fan. I read them as well as I could read rockstars books or serial killer stories… and what I want to say with this is that you will love this book even if you don’t know a thing about football. As you will see, Noah has zero knowledge about it and he is so cute, I may die.

And that said,  the important thing here is that I LOVED THE BOOK! 😀

I’m totally and utterly in love with Gavin and Noah. So different voices, so distinctive POVs. So… So… So… (I have no words and, that, coming from me, is saying a lot). At first, I didn´t know if it was the writing, the characters introduction or just the vibe of the book, but it looked terrific since the very first pages and this awesomeness I´m talking about is present all the way to the HEA.

Gavin. The dark one. The moody. The angry guy.

The poor kid and the rich and problematic adult. The cocky football player. The conflictive celebrity. The sarcastic jerk. The closeted bisexual hottie.

He is all this. But also, Gavin the loyal friend. Gavin the helpless kid abandoned at birth. He is a complex e intense character. But all his hostility is melted with a compassion off the charts. He is a contradiction himself and a very beautiful and enjoyable one. The perfect definition probably comes from Noah …

Gavin. The meanest player in the league, according to the media, but the one with the most aggressively overprotective and caring heart

Noah. The geek. The sweet. The dreamer.

The more-poor-than-the-rats social worker. The smart-ass gay from Queens. The nerdy savior. And beneath all the sweetness and well being there is also a brave guy who faces whatever life through at him. And he has a temper too. A big one I must say. Gavin refers once to him as “ball of resentment and anger” and also as “sexy-ass geek with an attitude“, and he was very accurate with both expressions if you ask me. He is warmth personified. Hotness and warmth. He is so kind and sexy. So smart and funny, and totally adorable…

Sighs, sighs, and more love sighs.

The millionaire jock and the crusader geek seems incredibly different at first sight, but you can see since the beginning they are not. They fight for the same reason in life. Well, that’s not true. One of them fights and the other shields all his feelings behind an ugly shield of resentment, anger, imbecility, and sarcasm. Yup. Gavin is a jerk, and I felt in love with him right after his first line so, maybe I am a bit messed up but is impossible not to love him.

Both of them grew up poor and unhappy (even though Noah had a family who loved him) and that fact is the nexus between them. Noah’s way out of that unhappiness was becoming a social worker to help underprivileged groups (gays mostly) and Gavin’s out was football. Noah decided to do it to be capable to save other people, Gavin did it of saving himself. But in the end of this journey. Both wants the same. Both are unselfish and altruistic. And two incredible, deep and “rich” characters. The dialogues are fluid, natural. They are funny as hell. The book is riddled with fantastic conversations and smart-ass comebacks (mostly from Noah).

The humor in Illegal Contact is superb.

I’ve been highlighting like crazy all the reading. I was mad because I knew I couldn’t use all my marked quotes and that´s the reason I´m not quoting (even if I´m suffering for it). The thing is the highlights made pretty clear to me that it was being an amazing book. And it was. Till the last word I read.

This is a super slow romance. Very, very slow. 😛

In my case, it worked perfectly because most of the times I prefer the banter, the chasing, the unresolved sexual tension tan the sex itself. And this book has it all, so when you finally get to the sex…well, I´m just saying, it worth every minute of intensity, glances, jealousy and awesome conversations.

So, thank you NetGalley for the copy. Thank you, Santino Hassell, for the perfect book and, thank you, Wendy, for the buddy read. For being there all the way, miles away from me (literally and figuratively because you are the Flash of the books) but hearing my crazy ideas and insight about Gavin and Noah. 😀

Highly recommend!!!

My life plan is to be brutally honest all the way to the bank. Don’t believe me? I run a popular YouTube channel called TrashyZane, and my claim to fame is oversharing about every aspect of my personal life. Sometimes while tipsy. Not everyone loves my style, but I have a long history of icing out people who can’t handle me. I have no time for judgmental foolishness.

Except, apparently, when it comes to Beau Starr. His channel is the polar opposite of mine, and so is he. Wholesome, inspirational, and clean-cut. Everything about him should turn me off, but when we hook up following a confrontation at a convention, my world flips upside down. Not only does Beau Starr turn me on, he uses the exact combination of dirty talk and roughness needed to turn me out.

But we still hate each other. I think.

imageedit_11_5093655094Vir****4 Stars****ima4

Beau and Zane: the light and the dark side of the force.

Well, it is more like the light and dark of YouTube, but I wanted to introduce a Star Wars reference because I am a fan, it fits perfectly here and my knowledge about YouTube is poor.

Beau Starr vs TrashyZane
Beautifuls vs skanks.
Positivism vs negativity.
Sugary vs sourness

“As Beau Starr, nothing touched me”

Beau Starr has been created to hide Beau Shields, and Beau (both personas, in this case) has worked hard to be a better person and run away from his past. Beau is pretending to be a man who is not. Every time he is recording one of his videos, he is acting, pretending to be a “perfect guy counselor” for the new generations. And it has to be exhausting to be him… Really. His public face is an act. He is all image. A fraud.

“Zane: You are amusing when you are not being fake as fuck
Beau: excuse you?
Zane: dude, you act differently on YouTube! Even your voice is different. This higher register version of a palatable gay”

What to say about Zane? Dark, hot, eccentric, sexy, messy, cynic and a self-proclaimed misanthrope.

Zane doesn’t trust. He is guarded. He proclaims that he doesn’t want tolerance, he needs full acceptance.
I thought at first he would be darker, more depressed, a lot of more sinister. But he is just brutally honest and he likes to talk about his sex life.

Well, Beau is not what I thought neither. Reading hard wired or at the beginning of this installment, I didn’t know what to expect. He is guarded too (and that´s the reason he is wearing a smiley, happy mask all the time) because Beau has been hurt and he didn´t trust since.

The story starts with both of them calling each other “nemesis”  but I didn’t feel at any moment that they were enemies. Just their public faces were. And their cyber characters are not them.

So I think Beau and Zane were not opposites at all. It’s just that they were so shielded behind their YouTube personas, that they were not prepared to become their inner selfs. If that made any sense.

Zane watched me now, his light green eyes clear and his expression relaxed. I hadn’t seen him like this before, and it embarrassed me. Why was he letting me see him like this? Why did he show everything”

These two are dirty, that’s for sure! This book pushes all your buttons in the lust, kinky department. They like it rough and it’s great to witness how Beau becomes a sexual animal every time Zane is near him (or texting him, videotaping him…) because it’s not what we are used to from Mr. Beautiful.

When our MCs bare their souls and take off their masks (beau’s falseness and Zane’s guardedness) they discover they are something near to soul mates. They complement each other perfectly. Two faces of the same coin. Together, they find a balance between two forces.

(Yeah I know. Doesn’t fit. But at this point, I have decided it is a Star Wars theme review)

The best: Ian’s cameo (I love the guy), the humor (as usual), the writing (of course), the texting and the dirty talk. I really am a dirty-talk junkie.

I have to say that, sadly, even if I liked and enjoyed this couple (and more the second half where the authors deepened in the characters and the relationship) I didn´t LOVE them. And I hate myself for it, because I really, really wanted to love every single thing. In this enemies-to-lovers story, something was missing…something was a bit off…

I am a huge fan of this series. I gave the previous books (the three of them) 5 stars without thinking about it for a second, so maybe my expectations were too high…
Or maybe it’s just that is I recently finished Illegal Contact and that was a GOOD enemies to lovers book.  Probably is wrong to judge this book regarding my previous read but, since both are Santino’s I couldn’t help the comparison.Probably it was my fault, as I said, because of the high expectation I had.

Anyway, I recommend this book to any fan of the Cyberlove Series.

A summer fling is an ideal cure for a broken heart. But when it’s with your best friend, things get complicated.

When Adam is dumped by his boyfriend, a week away at a beach resort seems like a great opportunity to get over his ex. Sun, sea, and no-strings sex will be just the boost he needs to move on with his life.
Adam’s best friend, Finn, agrees to accompany him at short notice. Finn’s had a crush on Adam for years, but is determined to put his feelings aside and be the perfect wingman in Adam’s time of crisis.
A spontaneous threesome with another guy forces Adam and Finn to confront their attraction to each other. Having a holiday fling together wasn’t part of the plan, and as their trip heats up, they soon realise that one night of fun won’t be enough for either of them.

The passion might be scorching, but their hearts and friendship are on the line. If their romance is going to survive the flight home, they have to be honest about what they want.

Well…this book definitely deserves its title, cause there was some serious HEAT in this one. 😀

 reaction hot fan fanning GIF

This is a friends to lovers story, that is low on angst and high on the good feels. 😛

After Adam gets dumped by his boyfriend of 5 years, he seeks out his best friend Finn. Finn, of course, has been hiding his true feelings for his best friend for some time, and he isn’t all that upset to hear about Adam’s break up.

So when Adam asks him to go on a romantic getaway he had already booked and planned, Finn doesn’t really have to think about saying yes.

While on their little vacation, the two of them join in a threesome with another guy. The lines of their friendship blur from there and…

These two really get it on!!

tumblr_mglf49tmKU1qzg447o3_400.gif (400×268)

They pretend it’s just gonna be for this summer…just fucking and nothing more…But we all know how that is a lie…The question is what will happen to their relationship/friendship when their vacation time ends…

There is a lot of steam in this book…It seemed like Adam and Finn were trying to make up for all their years of just being friends…

Not that I minded. 😛

 passion GIF

If you are looking for a light and hot summer read than this book is perfect!

I would have liked to read it on a beach on some tropical island, but well…we can’t all get what we want.

It isn’t a very deep story though. These two go from friends to lovers quite fast, but I tried to keep in mind that they had been friends for many years…I myself prefer a bit more angst in my books, but sometimes…

I like to enjoy a light book in between heavier reads.imageedit_53_7982876658

And many more…

******4.5 Stars*****

4.5-star-rating.png (938×189):

“There is nothing in this world more powerful than the connection a person feels for another.”

Do you know that feeling when you open a book in a series and it is instantly like coming home?

When you can’t help getting so absorbed in the story that you are sitting curled up on your couch with a dopey grin on your face because you missed everyone so much and it just feels right being back again? I’m pretty sure you do, but in case you don’t, I suggest you read this series!

I loved every single book so far and the short stories are always the icing on the cake.

The same holds true for Unbreakable Stories: Rowe. As short as they are, you still get the whole package of fun, sweet and sexy times combined with some heart-eyes but also pensive moments. A few pages in and I already had to run off grabbing some tissues, but leave it to the authors to make me laugh through my tears only a second later.

Seeing how Rowe after going through a rough patch due to Mel’s death finds happiness again with Noah was aside from Devour my most anticipated story in this series. What I especially loved about Unbreakable Stories: Rowe was the way Noah finds his place in Rowe’s life by creating memories of their own, by making every day special, without forgetting about Mel and to see Rowe opening up to Noah. He picks up his life again and feels completely at ease with his feelings for him.

So, get ready for some good but also bittersweet memories…

mario blanco - Bing Images

“With each passing day, Rowe seemed a little more relaxed, a little more willing to laugh, and a little more playful, as if he were pulling his soul out from the shadow of his wife’s death to embrace living again. Mel was still an intricate part of their lives, but her memory more frequently brought smiles than tears.”

Some pranks only men can come up with…

The saying “In the true man there is a child hidden: it wanted to play” proved never to be truer!

Some hot man-on-man action…that makes you want to run off and take an ice bath. 😀

And some much-needed vacation…

…With the whole gang except for Ian and Hollis, with lots of fun inside and outside the bed and psst…you even get to see a Lucas being all easy-going and relaxed and that’s a sight to see or read in this case. Promise!

“They might be all crazy, but it was a good family to be a part of.”

Admittedly, I missed Ian and Hollis, but all of these short stories except for the first one take place after Devour, so they authors decided to be a bit careful about it. And of course, we will get their own short stories soon.

I never wished so hard it would already be summer! Highly recommended!imageedit_44_8150275859

I fell for my brother’s best friend when I was just a kid. He broke my heart, one unforgettable night, in a frat house bathroom. Now he’s back and ready for another shot. There’s just one problem. I’m damaged goods.
I’m a demon…
On and off the football field. The only thing I like more than scoring touchdowns is scoring with the ladies. When my best friend’s little sister begs me to take her virginity, I’m not surprised. Erica has had a crush on me since she was an awkward kid. So I do what any man would. I reject her.
Fast forward five years and Erica has blossomed into one irresistible woman. Too bad she still hates my guts. Convincing her to give me another chance might be the hardest play I’ve ever had to execute. But I’m willing to give it the old college try.
I’m a fool…
For falling for Dante. He stole the playbook to my heart when I was just a kid and has been running defense with his ever since. I offered him everything. My heart. My soul. My body. His rejection propelled me into a world where my innocence was the price for admission.

Now I’m running scared. From my past. From my present. From the feelings that Dante stirs up every time he’s around. It’s only a matter of time before I trip and fall into the arms of the only man I’ve ever loved. But will the fall come at a premium my heart can afford?

I was beyond happy for receiving an ARC for this book. I’ve read the first book, Faking it with Damian, so I wanted so bad to know Dante’s and Erika story. I was also happy to see how the story of Damian and Janice continues, and meet them again.

This book was like a movie, a romantic comedy movie.

To be honest, I loved more Falling for Dante then Faking it with Damian. It was much funnier, entertaining, suspenseful, and way more HOTter. God…I still sigh.

So back to the book and the review… 😀
Erika is Damian (from Faking it with Damian) baby sister.

Elçin Sangu - Turkish Actress:

One day, Damian comes home from college with his best friend, Dante. Erika was 14 years old, but she fell instantly and over her head in love with Dante. She knew from that day on, that Dante was her fairytale prince.

Dante was Damian’s best friend(in Faking it with Damian)…

Men Cotton Hoodie Sport Gym Vest More:

…And although Damian came from a good rich family, Dante was a poor kid, from a disturbing family. All Dante had was his talent. To be a great football player. That was his future, football was his chance to a better life. When he met Erika…his whole world was turned upside down. She was only a kid. That couldn’t be possible. So they became best friends.

Years pass and Erika grows in a spectacular hot girl, but she was obviously off limits to him for various reasons. He was a lady’s man, he wasn’t good enough for her, she deserved way better than him, she was his best friend baby sister, but obviously…

Erika had another opinion and other plans.

Erika moves on with her future and takes a decision that changes her life. Dante’s future takes an unexpected turn. But life and faith bring them together again. Are they now willing to give them and their love another chance?

As I said, I loved the book.

I loved the awful thing (I know that sounds disturbing what I just said, I don’t love the subject in that way, I love the SUBJECT itself, because is reflecting the real life. Those awful things are really happening). I was expecting more action, more drama, and more suspense. But in comparison with Faking it with Damian, it was way better. For me at least.

So if you are looking to read something easy, sweet, funny, lovely and hot this book right here is the one for you.

Many thanks to the author Mrs. DJ Hunnam for this great opportunity. Thank you so much!imageedit_44_8150275859

Turned adrift by his own parents at a very young age due to his sexual orientation and being forced to do everything to survive on the streets, he had landed on his feet again. But this betrayal of confidence comes at a price. Trusting someone is not easy for him and why doing the whole commitment thing when you can just do hookups with no strings attached?

When a blowjob at his bar leads to another one -which is dead against his own life philosophy- and he suddenly seems to be the only person under the sun who is able to take care of said hookup when he is severely injured, his resolve gets rattled with each day he spends with the man and slow but steady he develops feelings he never wanted to feel.

FBI-Agent Carroll Weir -yes, there are a million jokes about his name out there and believe me, he has heard them all- is so done with this rainy dump called Skagit and cannot wait to get the hell out of dodge after the case he worked on for months is mostly wrapped up. His bags are packed, his flight to SoCal almost booked and he already sees himself on a surfboard again and basking in the sun.

A phone call from his boss shatters his daydream and he never would have thought that the murder of a Fish and Wildlife Detective and the possible poaching of a cock-shaped clam would fall under his duties, but so much for his luck. Oh, Weir likes cock, but the real deal, not such nightmare-inducing, the running-him-into-the-ground thing that ends up in a case without any lead.

A hookup at a bar seems to be just the right cure, but what was supposed to be a stress relief makes for an experience he cannot get out of his head, or rather he cannot get the guy out of his head. Sterling Bailey with his goth appearance and his judgmental behavior is a guy who is so not on his bucket list, but a hell of a surprise when it comes down to it.

“His first impression that Sterling judged and found the rest of the world lacking had been replaced by the understanding that Sterling held his true self-aloof out of self-preservation. Sterling was most comfortable feeling separate from the crowd; it had become his safe place.”

But Weir does not do relationships. He has built up a protective barrier around his heart due to his own past so he would not get hurt again. A tragedy in form of the disappearance of his sister ripped his family apart when he was a kid and instead of holding onto the child who was still there, both parents blamed him and abandoned him one way or the other, which left Weir with a feeling of never being good enough.

When the case or rather the murderer comes too close for comfort to Weir and nearly costs him his life, both men are forced to spend more time together than they prefer, and they discover gradually that they are more alike than they think.

“Leaving Skagit, Sterling hoped, had been a self-protective measure. If Weir didn’t allow himself to get attached, then he wouldn’t get hurt. And, yeah, Sterling knew that because it was one of his own classic moves.”

Their somewhat love-hate relationship turns into deeper feelings neither of them can ignore until the disappearance of Sterling’s sister reopens old sores for Weir and threatens to destroy their tentative chance for love.

Slowly but surely I feel at home in this town, despite the sordid details that come to light bit by bit.

The atmosphere is so vivid, I can virtually visualize the scenery and feel like I would know each resident inside out. Elle Keaton once again managed that I fell in love with both main characters right from the start. Granted, I already liked Weir in the previous books, but now that I came to know more about his past, I loved him even more.

After the second book, I already shipped him with another character, namely Buck’s friend Miguel, but the author did a great job in making me believe that due to their past Weir and Sterling are a match made in heaven. The relationship development once again left nothing to be desired and what I love in particular is that it was a different approach in each book so far, from insta-love in the first one to friends to lovers in the second and now this love-hate relationship in the third story.

The mystery part was a bit too muddled and also a tad OTT for me this time. Don’t get me wrong, the author de-muddled it perfectly in the end and it was interesting to get to know more about “conversion” therapy. It is still hard for me to believe that some people revert to such drastic measures, although it is proven that they fail spectacularly.

I just wish the solving of the case, or rather of both cases, would have been not so overly dramatic and did not exude the feeling of watching a B-movie sometimes.

But overall the romance was once again in the focus of the story and that is all that matters to me. imageedit_78_3543283961

Enter a world of immortal danger and desire—and discover an incredible fate borne of blood.
Tendra: One minute, I’m a bartender in gritty Mission City; the next, I’m whisked away by a vampire named Athan who tells me that I’m the lifeblood of his clan. It sounds unbelievable, but he’s got evidence I can’t deny. Turns out, Athan belongs to an underground society of vampires who feed only on humans with their consent. Their enemies have no such qualms, and they want me dead. The only thing standing in their way is strong, sexy Athan. And the closer we get, the more tempted I am to let Athan feed. . . .
Athan: How could I have known when I snatched this snarky, beautiful human off the streets that she would change my destiny? As a loyal soldier, I must deliver Tendra to our future king—my brother. Empowered with the blood of ten generations of the Gregorie breed, she is fated to rule as our queen. But there’s something between us that’s so intoxicating, so carnal, I can’t help wanting Tendra for myself . . . even if it’s treason.

I am a big sucker for vampires, so when I saw this baby on Netgalley, I knew I had to read it.

season 6 halloween episode 8 buffy the vampire slayer vampire GIF

Tendra is a waitress, who one day after her shift, gets snatched off the street and kidnapped. She is thrown into a world, where all of a sudden vampires are real and she herself is supposed to be  “Sanguivita” ( meal ticket) for the clan’s king, because of her “special” blood.

Of course, Tendra was quite shocked at first, but evidence suggest, her kidnapper Athen, is not talking out of his ass. 😛

Apparently, there are different kinds of vampires. Those that only feed with consent, and those that don’t give a damn about the human envolved. Those are the dangerous kind and they are now after Tendra…This is where Athen comes in.He is her Blood Guard and he is supposed to keep her safe and deliver her to the clan’s king…

…Who is also his brother…

The two of them go on the run…but being chased by bad vampires isn’t the only problem they are facing…

There is also the little fact of them falling for each other.

I really enjoyed reading this one and I think it was a promising start to a new series.

I also got a few laughs in, which is always a plus for me.  It was definitely inst-lovey, but for some reason, with PNR books, I don’t care so much.  I also really liked the MC’s. Kendra was pretty badass, though Athan was a bit softer than I expected him to be.

I am very curious about book 2.

An ARC was kindly provided to me via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.
