Cowboy Danny Boone—a name he made up one drunken night and has regretted ever since—harbors a big past and yearns for a small future. A short, bright career as a champion bull rider almost ended in his death when his homophobic father discovered Danny was gay. Now Danny longs for a plot of land he can build a ranch house on and enough money to make up for some of the education he missed.

Danny also hides a preference for beautiful femmes who like to top—a combo rarer than a unicorn. Then onto the guest ranch where Danny works drives San Francisco decorator Laurie Belmont, a young man so gorgeous he makes horses gasp, and so ballsy he almost kills Danny’s attacker.

Laurie’s trying to find his way out from under the thumb of a domineering mother, helpless father, and rich, privileged boyfriend.

But no matter the attraction, their lives are worlds apart, and cowboys don’t ride unicorns.

Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns(Cowboys Don’t #2)

by Tara Lain

****3.5 Stars rounded to 4****

4-3-360x74

I haven’t read the previous book in this series, so it’s safe to say that this one can be read as a stand alone. I usually don’t read a lot of books that have a femme/flamboyant hero, because I am much more into the whole big bad alpha thing.

What I do love, however, are cowboys…they are my kryptonite.

8241146.gif (320×181)

Danny is a ranch hand at a dude ranch, which is owned by Rand (book 1). He used to be a famous bull rider in the past, but his dad put a stop to that, in a very cruel way. Danny changed his name and even though, he still rides on rodeo’s from time to time, to make some money…

…he tries to stay as far away from his past as he can.

large.gif (500×281)

Danny also has a very specific preference, when it comes to his romance/sex life. He loves flamboyant men, but he loves it even, more when they top him. Finding such a mystical unicorn isn’t very easy, though.

giphy.gif (500×221)

Until one day, such a rare unicorn walks into the ranch as a guest…. Danny feels an immediate attraction towards the flamboyant man. There is only one problem. Laurie didn’t come alone, he is with his boyfriend. His very rich boyfriend.

While Danny is trying to outrun his past, Laurie is struggling with his future.

Apollo-13-Houston-We-Have-a-Problem-Tom-Hanks.gif (500×214)

He wants to do right by his parents and he knows his boyfriend could be a big help, but shouldn’t his feelings matter. He knows Grove is not the man for him. What he really wants is a go at that cowboy.

Luckily for both of them, he gets that chance …

“Hang on. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride”.

lipsilhoutte.jpg (960×854):

But what will happen when Danny is confronted with his past and Laurie’s future gets in the way….

This book was heavy on the insta-love, I would have liked it more if the two of them would have gotten to know each other a bit better. I also would have liked to read more about Danny and his father. The situation between them was quite volatile and it was fixed a bit too fast and easy for my taste.

Still ..it was a very nice read, even though my preference for alpha men has not changed.

In the end, I am happy that Danny found his unicorn….

“Everyone knows it takes a real cowboy to ride a unicorn”.

I’m not normally a fan of an age difference but this really worked for me.

Jamie is nearly 21 and struggling to put himself through college.

The college fund his parents had for him has been used for his parents long and messy divorce. He’s just lost one of the three jobs he had and is behind with his rent when a kind of Knight in Shining Armour steps in.

Guy is 38 and has a very comfortable life.

He offers Jamie a room in his home, wants to help with bills and tuition and genuinely wants Jamie to get the best out of life.
You might be forgiven for thinking this was just a bit unbelievable but somehow it wasn’t and I think it’s because Guy is a good man…I mean a really good man. There was no creepy ulterior motive about Guy’s proposal. He had been in a similar situation when he was young and someone stepped up to help him and he wants to repay the favor.

Guy is upfront about his sexuality. He’s gay but has two grown up children around Jamie’s age from a relationship when he was young.Jamie is straight and hasn’t had much time or inclination for sex.

There is no insta lust here.

They become friends and develop a mutual respect for each other. But gradually things change and their relationship develops at just the right pace.I don’t think this book it about being labeled as gay, straight or bi…..it’s a story of two men who connect emotionally and then physically.I enjoyed their friendship just as much as their sexual relationship…

…which was smoking hot!!

Some brilliant supporting characters, especially Ryan and Cole…….I so want their stories. The Epilogue giving teasers about Cole was very intriguing. I’m hoping his story is next if there is going to be one??

Talking of the Epilogue….I’m not normally bothered either way about one but this was just perfect.
A recommended read, even if you’re not a fan of an age difference I think this one might convert you.

Since putting his life on hold ten years ago, Oliver Clayton doesn’t know who he is anymore. To his clients at the hair salon, he’s the sassy and confident stylist. To the crowds who come to watch his drag act at the club, he’s the fierce and fabulous Miss Tique. He’s popular. Talented. Out, proud, and self-assured.

He’s also a good actor.

Sebastian Day is content with life’s easy, if not a little monotonous, routine. After several failed relationships, he likes the simplicity of being alone in his truck at his job as a heavy goods driver, spending the weekends with his teenage son, and putting the world to rights with his cat, Marv. He’s not lonely. He isn’t hiding.

At least…he doesn’t think he is until he meets the mesmerizing stranger with the red hair and purple lips.

Can Oliver and Sebastian help each other embrace who they are? Or will a cruel twist of fate end their journey before it’s even begun?

(M/M Romance. Not recommended for readers under 18 years of age due to language and sexual content.)

Who We Are by Nicola Haken

*****5 Stars*****imageedit_104_7293237175

Personally the sign of a good book, for me, is if I’m still thinking about it hours after I’ve finished it.

I absolutely loved this.I loved the happiness, the sadness, the hopes and struggles these amazing characters went through.

I’ve read Broken by this Author so I thought it wouldn’t be all sunshine and roses and it wasn’t but what it is, is a truly emotional love story.

Oliver has put his life on hold for 10 years….

…Concentrating on bringing up his younger half brother after their mother died.He struggles emotionally and financially, all he wants is to be a good parent to Ty.He works as a hair stylist by day and a drag act at night as the wonderfully flamboyant Miss Tique. He loves his makeup and heels and puts on a good act to the outside world.

Seb is a truck driver, one of the good guys.

He shares custody of his 15-year son with his ex who he has a fantastic relationship with.In fact, he’s got a lot of love and support from all his family. But things haven’t been easy for him. He’s bi and this is the first book I’ve read where I came to fully understand that being bi isn’t easy. The Author perfectly portrayed the struggles he went through as he and others came to terms with his sexuality.

Oliver and Seb story is beautiful.

It’s far from perfect but they face what life throws at them together.

” Are you flirting with me?”
” Is it working?”
” Maybe “

I’m not going into the story in any detail.I would advise going into this one relatively blind to get the most out of their story…trust me.
Some fascinating secondary characters who all played their part here.

You’ll need the tissues here but don’t worry, although there are sad tears there are truly happy tears as well.
A huge plus for me is that it’s set in the North of England (near me ) and I love that the Author kept it British from the banter to local shop names and the food….who doesn’t like beans on toast?…..that really is a British thing!

This is a beautiful story that I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend.

Damian Tate. One look into his sad green eyes and I was hooked. I wanted to be the one to make him laugh, to make him smile. I hadn’t expected him to be the one to make me blush, to make me hot…to make me fall in love. He was my first kiss, my first love, my first everything. I wanted forever with him, but life got in the way.

He enlisted, I went to college, and for years we were never in the same place long enough to pick up where we left off.

Thirteen years after he left, tragedy brings him home. The stoic boy I fell in love with grew into a quiet, dangerous and wildly sexy man. He still tugs on all the right strings for me, but he seems determined to keep me at arm’s-length.

Throne of Truth (Truth and Lies Duet #2) by Pepper Winters

*****5 Stars*****transp

Simply and truly a real MASTERPIECE. That’s what this book was.

Amazing story, amazing characters, amazing writing. Throne of Truth was one of my most anticipated books! It’s the conclusion to this story because Crown of Lies left me wanting for more!

A roller coaster of epic proportions!

Imagini pentru rollercoaster gif image

The second book starts right after the first one ended.

With Elle in danger. And with all the danger, she remains strong and fights for her freedom and life, until the end.

It starts explosive and didn’t let down until the end.

Imagini pentru explosive actions gif image

I don’t want to enter in so many details of the book because I don’t want to spoil the joy of the next readers, I just want to express my feelings. While reading this book, my feelings were like a tornado.

Penn was such an enigmatic, dirty-talker.

Infinity:

“My lips sought hers. I dragged her forward, our mouths connecting in a vicious kiss. She cried out as I held her close.
My tongue licked her seam, begging for entry but not forcing, even though every cell in my body demanded to shove her back, climb on top, and show her in actions, not words who I was.”

Commanding, kinky, devious and possessive hero. Penn’s story is pain and struggle. Throne of Truth gives us the full story of Penn.

Who he is, what he’s been hiding, and why?

Imagine similară

I’d hunted her down, invaded her life, and befriended her father because of emotion. To deny that would be the worst kind of lie because it would mean I’d have to lie to myself.

Elle’s trust and faith are put to the ultimate test.

“How did I ever believe I could walk away from him? How did one truth delete so many lies and make everything seem inconsequential now he was back in my life?”

When it comes to standing by her man, Elle does everything in her power to protect him.

She is a powerful woman!!

Imagini pentru powerful PROTECTIV woman GIF

The book is told from dual POVs, is full of suspense, second chance to love, deceit, betrayal, jealousy, conspiracy, greed and… lies.

Imagini pentru exploziv actions gif image

“Our bodies reacquainted, our hearts patterned to the same rhythm, our minds synced into one frequency.”

I recommend to not read any reviews for this book if you haven’t read the first book.

AMAZING BOOK!

An ARC of  Throne of Truth was kindly provided to DirtyBooksObsession in exchange for an honest review.

William Harris is a reserved man, private and guarded. He has no one to go home to. He’s never found a man worth sticking around for. He’s never been in love. And he’s convinced he’s happy with his lone-wolf life.

Nate Kelly is William’s opposite, social and easy going. He comes into William’s life as the elegant geisha Momo. When William realizes Momo is a man in drag, he’s captivated.

From their first date, William’s world changes. Nate is nothing like his usual type. And William soon finds out being with this carefree man means always being on display and attracting attention, which makes him want to retreat. He tries to keep Nate at arm’s length, but it’s no use. Nate’s transformed his life in a matter of months and keeps drawing him back in.

If they stand a chance, William has to be comfortable standing next to someone so at home in the limelight. Their future together and William’s happiness depend on it. Is Nate the man finally worth giving up William’s solitary existence? Is he worth sticking around for?

Momo: My Everything by Posy Roberts

****3.5 Stars****35sdr

“Does anyone ever really get another person?” Nate asked. “Everything they get is still filtered through their own lenses.”

I’ll second that! And it is not always the first impression that counts… Sometimes you have to take a closer – not to say a very close – look at somebody to see what makes him tick, to see through his facade. Regardless of the fact whether he is wearing an actual disguise or not.

William Harris and Nate Kelly meet during a company event at a Japanese teahouse…

…where Nate works dressed up as a Geisha named Momo.

ۣ•ᎧƦᎥᏋƝᎢƛ꒒•ᗪƦᏋƛᗰς•~✿ڿڰۣ:

William is the first of his colleagues who recognizes the man behind the drag …

…and although Nate normally is so not his type, both men feel an instant attraction for each other, which they pursue over several dates until it turns into something deeper despite their differences.

How is the saying? Opposites attract and this also proves to be true in this nice short story.

 :

William leads some kind of double life.

During the day at work, he is an uptight, reserved man who cherishes his privacy and who rather keeps to himself. At night he is someone who likes clubbing, doing hook-ups in back rooms or taking them home. No relationship, nothing permanent, no strings attached. He himself is completely amazed when he feels attracted to Nate/Momo and even more surprised at himself when he makes a spur-of-the-moment decision and takes him up on his offer for a date.

Nate is out and proud. Flamboyant, comfortable in his own skin and his surroundings.

,:

He has no problem with being in the center of attention…

…and that is exactly the crux of the matter… Wherever Nate shows up, there will be attention and William, accustomed to hiding his true self, has to come to terms with accepting himself, with being in the limelight as well, if there ever will be a real chance for both of them.

I don’t know the – much shorter – previous version of this book The Measured Man, so I cannot assess to which extent the story has been altered or extended. Momo: My Everything is nicely done, even if a bit clichéd regarding William’s sexist, unlikeable boss, acting like a jerk. I have to admit that it was maybe a bit too sweet for me, though, and I would have liked there to be more drama. It is told solely from William’s POV and for me, it would have been more enjoyable to get to know more about Nate’s thoughts and feelings.

What I loved about it, though, was the fact that despite there was – for a short story seemingly mandatory – insta-love or in this case ~attraction, both men did not jump into bed with each other on their first date, not even on their second. There was a lot of getting to know each other, before they act on their attraction more thoroughly, so to speak ;-), and that was really refreshing for a change.

I will leave it to the author herself to have the final word, to describe this book perfectly.

This is a story about falling head over heals in love. It’s a story about transformation. It’s a story about shattering boxes people try to place us in. But more than that, it’s a story about learning to love yourself.

Dirty Wife Games (Indecent Games #2) by Clarissa Wild

****3.5 Stars****

This was my first reading from this author. What attracted me to read this book was the blurb. I didn’t read the first book to know exactly what to expect. The book is written in dual perspectives between Hyun and Drake. The book is written in many plans. In the past when Hyun meets her future husband, in her marriage whether monster husband and in the present.

The book is about a woman, who is forced by her parents to marry a co-worker of her father’s.

Greg Warren, a monster of a man.

But what I loved about her was her strength and her determination to escape that painful life. The action of the book is mainly based on the present, when she’s gone from her husband for a few months. She lives, or try to live her life like a free woman.
“I can survive, knowing he is there, wherever I go. I never know when or where I’m going to see him again. I just know I will.”

..:

She is watched. Every move or action of her’s is followed and never out of sight. She is stalked by a stranger. So instead of feeling scared, she feels safe.
How the story goes is up to you to discover.

Ezra Greene has made a pretty decent life for himself. He has a nice apartment and spends his days doing the one thing he’s always loved—creating art. Despite being somewhat of a grumpy recluse, he’s even made a few loyal friends. When he takes a side job painting a mural at a local holistic center, he can’t help being curious about a certain friendly and self-assured yoga instructor, even if he doesn’t buy into any of that Zen crap. His holier-than-thou family already tried fitting him inside a box, and he swore he’d never be molded into anybody’s belief system again.

For Daevonte Randall, adulthood has worked out pretty well. He’s close to his parents and lives with an awesome roommate. He’s content with weekend hookups, teaching yoga, and taking college courses. What he doesn’t expect is to be so intrigued by the brooding and reserved painter he’s been tasked to stay after hours with at the center. Something fascinates him about Ezra, even after Daevonte’s attempts at flirting gets him friend-zoned on the spot.

As the weeks pass, Ezra and Dae get to know each other, and soon their friendship catches fire. But Ezra’s been burned pretty badly before so trust and intimacy has to be earned. Daevonte feels up to the task, but it proves difficult as Ezra continues to keep his emotions in check. Dae’s only willing to wait so long, and when they’re dealt a surprising blow, Ezra needs to decide if love is worth the risk, that is…if it’s not too late.″

Paint the Stars (Free Fall #3)

by Christina Lee & Nyrae Dawn

I haven’t read the previous books in this series but that definitely didn’t spoil my enjoyment of this so I would say it can be standalone.

Ezra is an Artist, currently working on a mural at the Mind Body Holistic and Wellness Centre in Santa Monica. This is where he meets Dae who does Yoga classes at the center.

These two couldn’t be more different in terms of their personalities and their family background.

Ezra grew up in a highly religious Catholic family. His parents have never really fully accepted him being gay and certainly don’t want the church, they regularly attend, to know about his sexuality. He felt suffocated growing up and once he left for college he hardly ever returns home.

Dae’s family, in comparison, are like a breath of fresh air.His parents married when they found out, at a young age, his mother was pregnant with Dae and have a loving relationship. They have always been fully supportive of him and I absolutely loved the relationship he had with them.

Dae is a massive flirt, he’s never really been interested in anything serious before but he finds himself drawn to the quiet, broody Artist. He makes it more than obvious he’s interested in Ezra.
Ezra is quite introverted and values his privacy but when Dae’s flirting doesn’t let up he’s forced to tell Dae that he’s demisexual. He’s never instantly attracted to anyone, he needs a close bond with someone before he can start to feel anything.

This is a slow burn and it’s a beautiful love story of two men finding what they want in each other.Dae recognizes that Ezra needs time to get to know him and it was quite special seeing Ezra finally letting someone get close to him.

Nyrae Dawn

Nyrae Dawn can almost always be found with a book in her hand or an open document on her laptop. She couldn’t live without books—reading or writing them. Oh, and chocolate. She’s slightly addicted.

She gravitates toward character-driven stories. Whether reading or writing, she loves emotional journeys. It’s icing on the cake when she really feels something, but is able to laugh too. She’s a proud romantic, who has a soft spot for flawed characters, who make mistakes but also have big hearts.

Whether she’s writing young adult, new adult, or adult you can always count on a healthy dose of romance from her books. She likes to tackle tough subjects and believes everyone needs to see themselves in the stories they read.

Nyrae is living her very own happily ever after in California with her gorgeous husband (who still makes her swoon) and her two incredibly awesome kids.

Christina Lee

Once upon a time, I lived in New York City and was a wardrobe stylist. I spent my days shopping for photo shoots, getting into cabs, eating amazing food, and drinking coffee at my favorite hangouts.

Now I live in the Midwest with my husband and son—my two favorite guys. I’ve been a clinical social worker and a special education teacher. But it wasn’t until I wrote a weekly column for the local newspaper that I realized I could turn the fairytales inside my head into the reality of writing fiction.

I write Adult, New Adult, and M/M Contemporary Romance. I’m addicted to lip gloss and salted caramel everything. I believes in true love and kissing, so writing romance novels has become a dream job.

Nerdy, introverted genius lepidopterist, Lawson Gale, is an expert on butterflies. He finds himself in a small town in Tasmania on a quest from an old professor to find an elusive species that may or may not even exist.

Local Parks and Wildlife officer, Jack Brighton, is an ordinary guy who loves his life in the sleepy town of Scottsdale. Along with his Border collie dog, Rosemary, his job, and good friends, he has enough to keep from being lonely.

But then he meets Lawson, and he knows he’s met someone special. There’s more to catching butterflies, Jack realises. Sometimes the most elusive creatures wear bowties, and sometimes they can’t be caught at all.

Lawson soon learns there are butterflies he can’t learn about it in books. They exist only in a touch, in a kiss, in a smile. He just has to let go first so these butterflies can fly.

Imago is the story of finding love, bowties, and butterflies.

Just Adorable.

I swear no one writes a sweet/sexy MM romance quite like N.R. Walker.

I was practically swooning throughout this book.

Lawson Gale is a butterfly expert, it’s his passion.Nerdy, sassy and definitely unique he’s come to Tasmania at the request of an old professor to try and find an elusive butterfly which the professor has been searching for, for decades.

Jack Brighton is a local Parks and Wildlife officer. He’s lived in Scottsdale for years, a small, quiet sleepy town where everyone is on first name terms. He’s content with his life, he loves his job and has his faithful dog Rosemary for a company.

But his world is about to be rocked in the most delicious way when he meets Lawson.

With his local knowledge of the area, Jack offers to help Lawson track down the mysterious Eltham Copper butterfly.

I can’t stress enough how adorable these two men are together.

They give each other flowers on dates.

They have a picnic in the garden with sandwiches cut into triangles, they change into their PJ’s to have dinner!! Don’t worry, though there are some sexy times and Lawson has a bit of a dirty mouth on him when he gets going.

This book is a little gem and I would definitely … Highly Recommend it.

About N.R. Walker

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things…but likes it even more, when they fall in love. She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.

She’s been writing ever since…

My FallenCon agenda is simple: sit on a couple of panels and let people meet the real me. Jesse Garvy—mod of a famous Twitch channel and, if I ever come out of my shell, future vlogger. I definitely didn’t plan to sleep with a moody tattooed fan-artist, but he’s gorgeous and can’t keep his hands off me. There’s a first time for everything, and my first time with a guy turns out to be the hottest experience of my life.

But the next day, I find out my moody fan-artist is Ian Larsen AKA Cherry—someone I’ve known online for years. And he’d known exactly who I was while shoving me up against that wall. Before I figure out whether to be pissed or flattered, the con ends.

Now we’re back online, and he’s acting like nothing happened. But despite the distance between us, and the way he clings to the safety of his online persona, we made a real connection that night. I don’t plan to let him forget.

Hard Wired (Cyberlove #3)

by Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell

 *****4.5 Stars****
imageedit_402_9293335776

Amazing.. Adorable.. Angsty..

It might be the fact that this story was a bit angstier than the previous books.

I just love angst in my books!!!… But I can safely say that Hard Wired replaced Fast Connection as my favorite in this series, at least regarding storyline and characters. There was one thing that niggled me a bit, but I will come back to it later.

pierced....:

The beginning of Hard Wired takes us back to the games convention in Boston. We already visited in the previous book, from where Dom retrieved his little runaway sister and her boyfriend. We also know Jesse Garvy and Ian Larsen, the two mods of Kai Bannon’s Twitch channel – better known as Garvy and Cherrycakes- being at the convention to represent Kai who cannot go himself due to his social anxiety.

So far, everybody deemed Cherrycakes to be a girl and not a man with a secret crush on Jesse for a long time. The convention is their first meeting in person which is already doomed to go awry because of said secret. When they finally meet, sparks fly, although Ian struggles with the right time to tell Jesse the truth. When his fear of being too late apparently proves to be true, Jesse’s initial reaction sends Ian into a spin and results in him taking flight. What follows is a fight for a connection to deepen into a relationship, which proves to be anything but easy.

There werent many things in my life I fought for. Ever. Something told me this was a risk worth taking. ~Jesse~

Both, Ian and Jesse, are some damaged characters due to their past.

Ian, with his tattoos and piercings, feels rejected all his life. Literally. His own parents dumped him as a baby, followed by an abusive childhood in foster care and Ian comes to the conclusion that he is simply not likable. He tries to hide his insecurities, his vulnerability, and his issues in dealing with other people behind his two alter-egos.

Cerise, the cynical, seemingly confident fan-artist whose dream is to visit an art school in order to improve his drawing skills to make something of himself and Cherrycakes, the sweet and endearing mod of Kai’s channel, everybody loves for his/her witty comments.

 :

My personas were all I had. My online friends... my only friends. My art was my world. And Kais chat had become a second home. Without it? Who was I? ~Ian~

I would not call it a split personality because of him choosing these “personas” deliberately and not due to an illness, but rather a way to build up a facade, to feel strong and loved at the same time. To find his place in the world. He has a long way to go to accept himself, to accept the fact that each and every persona is a part of himself.

Jesse seems to be the only adult in his family.

He is just too good to be true, which does not contribute to his own good.He has an abusive past of a different kind, with his parents taking advantage of his left and right, guilt-tripping him into supporting them financially, what might cost him his own dream of becoming a vlogger like his cousin and best friend, Beau. Believe me, his parents made me throw a tantrum more than once and you can be glad that you are not my neighbors, otherwise you would have probably heard me ranting and raving at them through the walls. Loud.

 :

I loved Jesse for not giving up on Ian, for pursuing his attraction and love for this man, even though he is always the one to call and does not really get something back at the beginning. Ian was the one I wanted to hug constantly. My heart went out to him and his story made me even choke sometimes.

They were just perfect for each other, in giving each other strength and reinforcing their self-confidence. In convincing each other not only to chase their dreams but to make them come true. In giving each other hope not only for their personal but also for their professional future.

As for the one thing that niggled me and what is the reason for me to give this book 4.5 instead of 5 stars: I don’t mind the insight into the background of a convention. On the contrary, I found it rather interesting, since I will presumably visit a convention myself this year, not a games convention, but a convention nonetheless. What bugged me, though, was that this book was a bit heavy on – I don’t even know how to call it – gamer speech? Slang? Pin it on me being too old or maybe on the fact that I don’t have children at this age or that I live in Germany, but there were quite a few words I had to google, what somewhat disturbed my reading flow sometimes.

Overall, though, this story feels as real as the first two and that is still what I love the most about this series.

 Highly recommended!

 About Authors

Megan Erickson
megan14

Megan Erickson is a USA Today bestselling author of romance that sizzles. Her books have a touch of nerd, a dash of humor, and always have a happily ever after. A former journalist, she switched to fiction when she decided she likes writing her own endings better.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her very own nerdy husband and two kids. Although rather fun-sized, she’s been told she has a full-sized personality. When Megan isn’t writing, she’s either lounging with her two cats named after John Hughes characters or… thinking about writing.

Santino Hassell was raised by a conservative family, but he was anything but traditional. He grew up to be a smart-mouthed, school cutting grunge kid, then a transient twenty-something and eventually transformed into an unlikely romance author.

Santino writes queer romance that is heavily influenced by the gritty, urban landscape of New York City, his belief that human relationships are complex and flawed, and his own life experiences.
