~Synopsis~

They’re serving up some red-hot revenge. A sizzling series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Rachel van Dyken.

Blaire has never quite gotten over Jessie Beckett, the ex–NFL star whose kisses were hot enough to ignite the entire Eastern Seaboard. When he chose work over her, Blaire was left brokenhearted. Why else would she have married a skeezy two-timer, just to divorce him less than a year later? Now Blaire is getting even by becoming one half of Dirty Exes, a PI firm fully committed to humiliating cheating jerks. If only the new jerk she’s been hired to uncover wasn’t Jessie Beckett himself. Exposing Jessie isn’t going to be easy, especially when she still daydreams about his sexy smile. Further complicating matters is Colin, Jessie’s best friend. He’s gorgeous, a little bit cunning, and willing to help Blaire get the inside scoop on Jessie—for a price. Now caught between two men—one totally right and the other totally wrong—Blaire will need to decide just how much she’s willing to risk…and whom she’s willing to risk it for.

Apparently, this new series is a spin-off of the “Wingmen Inc.” series. Blaire, the heroine in this book is Ian’s (Matchmakers Playbook) sister. Now no worries, you don’t have to read the previous series to understand this book, it completely standalone. I myself haven’t, but since I really enjoyed this one, I will probably go back and fix that. 😛 Now, what I loved most about this book, is that it made me laugh. For me, this was really one of those feel good stories.

That doesn’t mean nothing happened, or that I didn’t get frustrated at times, but the overall feeling for me was the joy. 😜

Blaire has a pretty awesome job. She owns half of “Dirty Exes”, which is a PI firm, that specializes in…you guessed it….catching dirty cheaters in the act! She and her best friend started the firm, after being fucked over by their exes. Now they are getting even…one dirtbag at a time. 😛

Things get a bit complicated when her new client turns out to be the wife of “the one that got away“… Jessie was everything Blaire ever wanted. They spend a few weeks together in total bliss. Until Jessie left her in the dust for his career. Now she will have to expose him and his cheating ways. The only problem is, she doesn’t want him to be a cheater, because, to her, she is still “perfect Jessie”…Thankfully there is Colin, Jessie’s best friend, who is more than willing to help her out…in more than one way. 😛

Blaire finds herself in sorts of ridiculous situations and I spend a lot of time reading this one with a huge smile on my face! 😀

There was only one small thing, that bothered me a bit. Ever since Blaire was with Jessie, she saw him as the one. She started measuring all men up to him, and she even blames him for the fact, that she ended up with her douchebag of an ex-husband. Now that’s all fine and good, if not for the fact that Blaire and Jessie were only together for 3 weeks!!!

They didn’t even have sex?!! I don’t think you can get to know someone in only 3 weeks. So this was just a bit too much for me. I could have understood her “worshipping feelings” toward him if they would have been together longer…Other than that, Blaire was a pretty great heroine.

This story was cute, funny and even sexy at times, and I can’t wait to read the next one. 😜
