I fell for my brother’s best friend when I was just a kid. He broke my heart, one unforgettable night, in a frat house bathroom. Now he’s back and ready for another shot. There’s just one problem. I’m damaged goods.
I’m a demon…
On and off the football field. The only thing I like more than scoring touchdowns is scoring with the ladies. When my best friend’s little sister begs me to take her virginity, I’m not surprised. Erica has had a crush on me since she was an awkward kid. So I do what any man would. I reject her.
Fast forward five years and Erica has blossomed into one irresistible woman. Too bad she still hates my guts. Convincing her to give me another chance might be the hardest play I’ve ever had to execute. But I’m willing to give it the old college try.
I’m a fool…
For falling for Dante. He stole the playbook to my heart when I was just a kid and has been running defense with his ever since. I offered him everything. My heart. My soul. My body. His rejection propelled me into a world where my innocence was the price for admission.
Now I’m running scared. From my past. From my present. From the feelings that Dante stirs up every time he’s around. It’s only a matter of time before I trip and fall into the arms of the only man I’ve ever loved. But will the fall come at a premium my heart can afford?
I was beyond happy for receiving an ARC for this book. I’ve read the first book, Faking it with Damian, so I wanted so bad to know Dante’s and Erika story. I was also happy to see how the story of Damian and Janice continues, and meet them again.
This book was like a movie, a romantic comedy movie.
To be honest, I loved more Falling for Dante then Faking it with Damian. It was much funnier, entertaining, suspenseful, and way more HOTter. God…I still sigh.
So back to the book and the review… 😀
Erika is Damian (from Faking it with Damian) baby sister.
One day, Damian comes home from college with his best friend, Dante. Erika was 14 years old, but she fell instantly and over her head in love with Dante. She knew from that day on, that Dante was her fairytale prince.
Dante was Damian’s best friend(in Faking it with Damian)…
…And although Damian came from a good rich family, Dante was a poor kid, from a disturbing family. All Dante had was his talent. To be a great football player. That was his future, football was his chance to a better life. When he met Erika…his whole world was turned upside down. She was only a kid. That couldn’t be possible. So they became best friends.
Years pass and Erika grows in a spectacular hot girl, but she was obviously off limits to him for various reasons. He was a lady’s man, he wasn’t good enough for her, she deserved way better than him, she was his best friend baby sister, but obviously…
Erika had another opinion and other plans.
Erika moves on with her future and takes a decision that changes her life. Dante’s future takes an unexpected turn. But life and faith bring them together again. Are they now willing to give them and their love another chance?
As I said, I loved the book.
I loved the awful thing (I know that sounds disturbing what I just said, I don’t love the subject in that way, I love the SUBJECT itself, because is reflecting the real life. Those awful things are really happening). I was expecting more action, more drama, and more suspense. But in comparison with Faking it with Damian, it was way better. For me at least.
So if you are looking to read something easy, sweet, funny, lovely and hot this book right here is the one for you.
Many thanks to the author Mrs. DJ Hunnam for this great opportunity. Thank you so much!
