If I Should Stumble by Claire Davis & Al Stewart

~Review by Judith~

If I Should Stumble (Tork and Adam #3)

Once there was a boy, a sweet boy, who looked at other boys for longer than he should have

I’ve been putting off writing this review for days because I really don’t know how to put into words how wonderful it is and how much it touched me.

Kaz is a runner in his home country. There’s nothing more he enjoys than spending time with his beloved coach. When he’s with the coach he feels safe and protected until one day his world is shattered. He’s told to run one last time and not look back.He must leave everything and everyone behind.
You don’t get to find out which country he’s from but it’s obviously in turmoil and doesn’t tolerate homosexuality. You aren’t given any in-depth detail about what he goes through but enough is included to make you understand the struggle he’s been through.

He’s now in the UK staying at the same group home as Tork.On the outside, he’s charming and polite but inside he’s struggling. He has so many memories, feels guilt and shame and turns to a bottle of cider to blank everything out and just forget.
Tork is assigned as his mentor and refuses to give up on him. He’s seen him running and persuades him to coach a running team Adam has started for the homeless shelter he volunteers for. This is where he meets Zack.

Zack, the boy with the soft hair and blue eyes who is very self-conscious about his weight. But Kaz doesn’t see an overweight boy when he looks at Zack.He sees someone kind and gentle and someone who is just there for him.

This book broke my heart a little bit.I just wanted to reach in and put my arms around Kaz.It’s a beautiful story of memories, loss, hope, new friendships, and boyfriends

Highly recommended.

Lunchtime Nibbles (Volume One)

 ~Review by Judith~

Lunchtime Nibbles (Volume One)

by Claire Davis & Al Stewart

***** 5 Stars*****

Absolutely loved these two short stories.Sexy and Cute…Just delicious!

Gold star rating with five golden stars

I recently read Billie Jean by these Authors and absolutely loved it and these two stories were just as good.

Cheese and Pickle

Harvey has been crushing on his team leader,Greg, for ages.Imagine his surprise and delight when Greg takes him out one lunchtime on a work related issue and things get hot and heavy in the car.
A year on they has been meeting every Tuesday lunchtime for more of the same.Harvey was just adorable. He’s constantly fretting about his liaisons with Greg.He spends his time looking forward to every Tuesday and daydreaming about so much more between them. But he’s terrified of pushing Greg away,so after they’ve got down and dirty he rambles on about home improvements and eats cheese and pickle sandwiches with Greg. This was just so funny and endearing!

The Detonator

Adam Dryden-man magnet and butt extraordinaire-had fallen.

Tork’s birthday is fast approaching and Adam is in a total tailspin. He’s fussing and worrying about presents, decorations and wants it to be special. What better than penis-shaped balloons, microwave food and a home make cake with enough butter to sink a ship!

If you’ve read anything by these Authors you’ll totally love these two stories. So damn funny,so damn cute and just enough sexy times.

Highly recommend!!

Hide (Crash #2) by Drew Jordan

Hide (Crash #2) by Drew Jordan

My rating 3 stars out of 5

I think for the first time since I started to read this tips of books, that I don’t know what to think. I’m at an impasse.

The book continues where the first book ended.  Like I said, the “LOVE”  make things interesting. We discover more secrets about them both. The sex is great between them.

The woodsman is more human and we see a sensitive part of him. He is very possessive of Lainey, very jealous and very manipulative. I think they’re both fucked up in the head.

We still don’t have his name, though. I didn’t like his lie. I got really mad. That is not loving, that is a sickness.

But can’t wait to read the next book, where I hope I will understand all this mindfuck.

Walking on Thin Ice by Jocelynn Drake

 ~*~ Highly Recommend~*~

Walking on Thin Ice by Jocelynn Drake

Genre ~ Contemporary M/M Romance

It’s not easy for Spenser Roland to admit it, but he needs help. Christmas is just a few days away, and he can’t face the idea of showing up to his family’s gathering alone … again. They want to see him happily settled, but Spenser doesn’t date. He can’t risk it if he wants to protect his family. But one unexpected night with Evan Scott has him thinking that maybe he can strike a deal that will make his family happy and give him a little holiday cheer as well.

32727388Evan never should have accepted a ride home from the sexy-as-hell corporate executive, but he’s proud that he stuck to his guns. He’s done with the one-night stand game. He wants something real. Something that lasts. But when Spenser returns, asking him to pose as his boyfriend over the weekend at a Christmas celebration, Evan is sure he’s lost his mind.

But he can’t say no.

Maybe it’s the shadow of loneliness in Spenser’s bright blue eyes that’s too much like his own. Or maybe it’s his heart-stopping smile.

Either way, Evan knows he’s on thin ice with Spenser, risking his own rules and heart, but Spenser is worth the risk.

Crash (Crash #1) by Drew Jordan

Review by ❤ Mary ❤

Crash (Crash #1) by Drew Jordan

My rating 4 Stars out of 5

Lainey flies to Alaska to meet again and to get married to  her childhood friend, but before she arrives at her destination,  the plane crashes, and she is the only survivor. She is saved by a man from the woods. A gorgeous mountain man, who takes her to his cabin in the woods and  heals her wounds. She thinks that after she heals she could go to the nearest town and return to her life before the crash.  But her savior becomes her captor and has other plans for her.

Well, this was one interesting reading for me.  Some interesting turn of events, in the end, a little mind fuck. I wasn’t expecting that.  I like that it wasn’t predictable. It’s not the first dark book that I read, but it is the first where I enjoyed and I was turned on at some scenes. I know…I have a broken mind.

I liked that the heroine  in some critical moments didn’t panic. But I didn’t like when si was insecure.  And that thing happened over the whole book. She wanted to escape, but she didn’t want to escape. It killed me.

The hero in some points ( ok, at all the points ), I did not exactly understand him either. Now it was tender and open, and in two minutes cold and distant and absurd in some points.

And the cherry on the cake was the L word.  I don’t think it was the case of that word. That word doesn’t have a place in those circumstances and in that story.  If the usage of that word was to obtain her freedom, I would understand, but it wasn’t. But I didn’t feel it, but I didn’t feel the love between the characters.  The chemistry and the attraction yes, but not the love.

For me, the ending of the book saved the book. If the book wasn’t ending the way it did, I would definitely don’t give it 4 stars.

A Christmas Kiss by Annabelle Jacobs

Freckles by Amy Lane

32471508Carter Embree has always hoped to be rescued from his productive, tragically boring, and (slightly) ethically compromised life. But when an urchin at a grocery store shoves a bundle of fluff into his hands, Carter goes from rescuee to rescuer—and he needs a little help.

Sandy Corrigan, the vet tech who helps ease Carter into the world of dog ownership, first assumes that Carter is a crazy-pants client who just needs to relax. But as Sandy gets a glimpse into the funny, kind, sexy man under Carter’s mild-mannered exterior, he sees that with a little care and feeding, Carter might be Super-Pet Owner—and decent boyfriend material to boot.

But Carter needs to see himself as a hero first. As he says good-bye to his pristine house and hello to carpet treatments and dog walkers, he finds that there really is more to himself than a researching drudge without a backbone. A Carter Embree can rate a Sandy Corrigan. He can be supportive, he can be a hero, he can be a man who stands up for his principles!

He can be the owner of a small dog.

Bloodline by Barbara Elsborg

Bloodline by Barbara Elsborg

(Unnamed London PNR Series #2)

*****4.5 stars*****

This was so different to previous books I’ve read by this Author, but I absolutely loved it.There definitely aren’t enough, good, paranormal M/M books out there and this soo worked for me.

Well, this was definitely a first for me.A Barbara Elsborg book with humor, add into the mix a sexy Paranormal M/M and this was a hit for me.

A sexy Vampire…Inigo.                   A sexy faerie…Micah.

They shouldn’t connect but they do in the most delicious way. They are both tops sighs. How will they ever get around this? Oh,yes….bring on the sexy times. They adapt very quickly!

This is the second book in the series.I haven’t read book one because it’s M/F but that definitely didn’t spoil my enjoyment of this and this can be read as a stand alone.

Paranormal books aren’t necessarily my preferred Genre but I love it when I find one’s that really work.

This wasn’t too complicated, which they sometimes can be and the scene setting and characters were so engaging. The humor works perfectly here,a little bit dry but given the characters it was spot on.
The inner thoughts of Inigo were just brilliant and I know it’s wrong but I found, the villain,Oberon so damn funny… I was kind of rooting for him!

If you’re a fan of M/M Paranormal I would highly recommend this.

Sugar Daddies by Jade West

 Sugar Daddies by Jade West

***3 Stars***

Katie is a girl who wants to fulfill her dream, at any cost. So…she finds something simple, The Sugar Daddy site.

Carl and Rick are looking for “The One”, for the special girl how can fulfill their dream. What all of them find and how the story goes, it’s up to you  to discover.

Well, I am disappointed. Considering that I love the menage books, and this one, is not the first of this kind,  I was expecting more. For me, the book wasn’t interesting and not even hot. I don’t know. …it didn’t get to me.

The subject was good, the story was good, but the writing  it seems plane.

Or maybe it was just me.

Taunt by Eve Dangerfield

Review by ❤ Mary ❤

*****5 Stars*****

Daniel and her best friend are hiding in Paris.  They discovered something awful about the future on our planet. After her miserable friend decides to abandon her, Daniel run in London. She is a free spirit, a free and independent  woman who lives her life how she pleases. She is so crazy,  in the good and funny way. Not to mention, Hot and Sexy as hell. Unfortunately, she is captured by the mean people how wanted to know what she and her best friend discovered.

In the meantime in New York, some 3 hot sexy ex-military from a security firm are hired to guard a dangerous ecoterrorism in Santa Monica, in a special house. I laughed so hard when they met with the “dangerous terrorist”.  Now starts the real war.

 My John                                                                My Colt

My Seb

From all the guys, John was my favorite, although I would have liked to have known him better. For him to be more present and especially to know his thoughts better.

What happens next and how the things evolve, I let you find for yourself.

I’m telling you only this….I laughed so hard from the beginning to the end.  It has a unique subject.  For me, this book contains all I’m looking for reading..super funny, super hot, action and suspense. I was expecting a little more hot and even darker.  But it was ok even this way. Don’t let the blurb fool you. It’s an amazing book. I just couldn’t put my kindle down. It killed me. I was reading day and night, I was reading while I was cooking, even on the toilet,  non-stop.
