Nine months ago, Rowan Ward thought he had it all. Now he’s fighting to pull his shredded life together, buried in work and battling the kind of grief that destroys a man’s soul. When fires spring up around Cincinnati threatening Rowe’s friends and clients, he’s thrilled to find his old Army buddy, Noah Keegan in town. They were a hell of a team when they served together, so in-sync, it was rumored they could read each other’s minds.

Noah thought devoting his life to the Army would be enough. Then he realized he had no family and only one friend he cared about. When his enlistment was up, he found himself standing on Rowe’s doorstep, looking only for friendship but secretly hoping for more. He needs to know if their one unbelievable night together years ago wasn’t a mistake.

Caught in a dangerous game of fire and bullets, neither expects the inferno of emotion that ignites between them. One Rowe isn’t prepared to accept. One that could break Noah.

Another amazing hit in this series !!! Damn but I love this series.

The only thing I don’t love about it is waiting for the next book 😦

Spring 2017 ??? That is way too long !!!

Anyways…about the book… 😛

I, like many, was a bit worried about this being Rowe’s book. We all expected Ian first (I am dying for his book) and with Mel’s recent death it didn’t make a lot of sense…Except it did.

I shouldn’t have worried because the story was awesome. Rowe’s grief wasn’t shoved away and Mel wasn’t just forgotten. Noah was the perfect person for Rowe, to be honest. Their relationship made sense.

I won’t say it wasn’t hard to read at times, because it was, and my heart did break a few times for Noah. He wanted to be with Rowe so bad but…

He also knew that Rowe was still grieving and dealing with all his confusion.

That doesn’t mean that Noah was just hanging around, waiting for Rowe to get his shit in order. They were friends first…which in this case was very important I think.

There was some back and forth on Rowe’s part, and even though that normally annoys the shit out of me, I understood how Rowe must have been feeling. Them being such good friends and understanding each other, made everything a bit easier. At least that’s how it felt to me.

When they came together, they torched the sheets !!!! 😀

There was a little less steam in this one, which I understood, but what was there was seriously HOT…

The side plot was also very entertaining and will continue in the next book since things are still unresolved. In the end, I think it will all come down to Ian.

Wonderful wonderful Ian. 😀

Since we’re talking about Ian right now…I have one little complaint about this book and as my buddy-readers Susan, Karlijn, Elsbeth and Marte know, I can’t let this go. Where the hell was my all time favorite character Hollis ??? He had way too little page time !!!

Even though the time he did get was freaking hot and awesome…I missed the hell out of him. I love that man and his crumpled clothes….he always makes me laugh !!

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor I love him so + gif
I was so so disappointed…I can’t help myself…I have a huge crush on Hollis.

Guess I will have to suck it up and wait for the next book…I need it now !!!

Awesome book loved it and I’m sure I will love the next one even more !!!

~*~Austin Arrows Series by Nicole Edwards~*~

~*~ Highly Recommend~*~

The Season: Rush (Austin Arrows #1)

by Nicole Edwards

Genre: Contemporary,Erotic /Romance
Kindle Edition, 539 pages

Kingston Rush

Becoming a goaltender in the NHL is the only thing I ever wanted for myself.

Goal accomplished.

31283800Two years ago, I was the best goalie in the league, for the third time. With our Stanley Cup win, the Austin Arrows were on top of the world. Nothing could possibly bring us down.

Turns out, even when you’re at the top, you can find yourself back at rock bottom.

But it gets worse.

Not only did the team fall from grace, then I did too. I was accused of something I didn’t do. And now I’m being forced to repair my tarnished reputation.

Only I don’t know how to do that.

When the suggestion is made for me to pull off this ruse for the media, I know what I’m getting into. I also know there’s only one right answer.

But it’s complicated, and I’m not the only one who could get hurt.

There’s only one major problem.

I can’t say no.

Kaufman: The Season (Austin Arrows #2)

by Nicole Edwards

Genre: Contemporary,Erotic /Romance
Kindle Edition, 433 pages

Spencer Kaufman

When I signed on to the NHL, I promised to give 150% to the game. I’ve done that.

32609595Little did I know, but they would ask more from me than merely my skill on the ice. The team wanted me to be their captain. It’s an honor, one I’ve done my best to fulfill. Although I can’t take all the credit, I was there to lead when we won the Stanley Cup.

I’m still at the helm now, when we’ve hit rock bottom. I know I have let my fears get in the way. I’ve let down the team, even if they don’t realize what I’ve done.

Now that the new season’s underway, I’m being called out. I deserve it. I can deal with that. It won’t be easy, but I’ll persevere.

What I can’t deal with is her.
She surprised me.
She came out of nowhere and blindsided me.
And there’s one serious issue.
Now that I have her, I refuse to let her go.

This is a full-length, standalone novel. It is part of the Austin Arrows series, but can be read independently.

Review by ❤ Mary ❤

Lazar’s Gaze by Rose Fell

⭐⭐⭐3 Stars ⭐⭐⭐

Well ,this was a first for me in many aspects. It is my first ARC, and it was a different story to read. I don’t know how to say’it, I don’t want to ruin the review by putting spoilers in it,….it’s gonna be hard.
First….the story was good. I liked the story, but I want more, I want more complexity and fluidity. Not summary. Not complicated and boring details, no, just simple and important stuff. To know the characters better, to become one with the characters.

I liked Olivia, and I didn’t like her.

I liked her because she was a free and independent woman. A strong and a brave woman how to know what she wants and goes for it, no matter what. Free of inhibitions and shame, exploring enjoying her pleasure and sexuality. I liked her personality. But I didn’t like her control over the act, over sex. I like the men to be the Alfa.

This was a first too for me. I like the men to be the MEN and to be in control. I think I am a little Sub deep down. 😀
Lazar…hmmm….for me the guy was an enigma, and I want and can wait to know him better. I don’t understand him. He was in a very long relationship and now he explores the casual sex thing. He is a nice guy, hot guy, good in bed guy, but romantic.
I don’t know how to explain this to make myself clear. I don’t understand how a man can be sweet and cute when he does casually. Romantic and casual? This is what I don’t understand. Maybe I am just accustomed to the manwhore type, the jerks type, I don’t know. The Doms.
Anyway. …the book and the story is good. But I want more. And I encourage the author to do more complicated story and action. The characters are good, they have chemistry. Work from there. I am not giving it 3 stars because I didn’t like’it, I’m giving 3 stars because it was short, fast, summary and simple. Make it longer, complex and especially hotter.

ARC provided to me by the author  in exchange for an honest review.
